POSITION OVERVIEW
The Interior Designer at Mathias Collective plays a pivotal role in bringing sophisticated interior design projects to life, working under the guidance of the Studio Lead. This position is integral to upholding Mathias Collective’s commitment to design excellence and client satisfaction, encompassing all phases of the design process—from initial concept to project completion. While Mathias Collective does not adhere to a prescribed aesthetic, our client base often leads to refined, bespoke design choices. This role involves close collaboration with discerning clients, including owners of sports clubs and leaders in the financial and private wealth sectors, requiring a keen ability to translate their unique visions into exceptional spaces.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design.
Experience: 5–7 years of experience, with expertise across all phases of the design process. Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Revit, Enscape, Photoshop, InDesign, and AutoCAD.
Preferred Knowledge: Familiarity with Bluebeam is helpful, but not required.
Industry Knowledge: Background in contract furniture and sourcing, with experience in hospitality or sports/ entertainment design projects.
Certification: NCIDQ certification is a strong asset but not required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design Development: Collaborate with the Studio Lead to develop and refine design concepts in line with client needs and project goals.
Project Documentation: Utilize software tools (Revit, Enscape, Photoshop, InDesign, and AutoCAD) to create detailed design documents, including 3D models and renderings.
Client and Team Collaboration: Participate in client meetings, communicate design ideas effectively, and ensure alignment between project deliverables and client expectations.
Product Sourcing and Specifications: Source and specify contract furniture, finishes, and accessories. Manage vendor and supplier relationships for contract furniture and other project materials. Project Management Support: Assist in project timelines, site visits, and installation phases to maintain project progress and quality standards.
Innovation and Creativity: Research current design trends and bring innovative ideas to each project, particularly in hospitality or sports/entertainment design contexts.

WORK SCHEDULE AND EXPECTATIONS
Mathias Collective is located at 1005 17th Ave South, Suite 650 in Nashville, Tennessee. Our office operates 9a – 4p Monday through Friday. We set monthly billable targets per position that you will be expected to meet, which will require work outside of office hours. When and where you complete this work will be largely at your discretion.

Competitive Salary based on experience.
